BAE Systems

Problem

BAE’s existing cleanroom was operating at class 10,000, ISO 7. Their process required Class 1,000, ISO 6 environment.

Solution

To keep costs to a minimum we built a custom sized Clean Shower within the existing cleanroom, creating a low particulate micro climate tailored to their process.

Dolby

Problem

Dolby wanted to test the viability of performing a repair to their LCD monitors in the UK but needed a ISO 6, Class 1,000 environment which had anti-static, ESD capabilities.

Solution

Moorfield’s Clean Environments supplied a standard CT 750 with ESD re-usable flooring.

Application

Optical mask alignment

Problem

Helwett Packard’s existing cleanroom was operating at ISO 7 or class 10,000. Their mask alignment process required an ISO 5 or Class 100 environment.

Solution

As with BAE Systems we built a custom sized Clean Shower within the existing cleanroom, creating a micro climate in which we could house the mask aligner.

Loughborough University needed to be in an ISO 6, Class 1,000 environment but they didn’t have an existing cleanroom and had a very limited space.

Selex Sensors and Airborne Systems

Selex wanted to do a very quick change to get a microclimate inside their existing Class 10,000, ISO 7 cleanroom to perform a critical application in a Class 1,000, ISO 6 environment.

Solution

A CT 1700 was erected inside their cleanroom with our technicians working alongside Selex staff to install the required equipment.

Mobile phone screen recycling

Problem

Timspsons were expanding their mobile and tablet maintenance division and needed advice on a suitable environment in which to operate.

Solution

We designed and supplied them with the components necessary to build a simple ISO 7, class 10,000 cleanroom in which the screens can be laminated. The components included fan filter units, exhaust vents, doors, ceiling tiles, lights and ESD starter kits for their operators.

Airbus Space and Defence

Satalite instrument assembly and testing

Problem

Airbus needed to control particulate to ISO 5, molecular, electrostatic and magnetic contamination for the European Space Agency’s Solar Orbiter satellite mission.

Solution

We designed and supplied a Clean Cube to sit in their ISO 8 facility. Due to time restrictions we built the frame as a complete unit and lift into position fitting the glass infill panels and electrics once the Clean Cube was in position.

Glyndwr needed to perform one process in an ISO 5 cleanroom

Solution

We installed a Clean Tent at their laboratory in OpTIC for a 2 month period, allowing them to perform the procedure and all necessary testing. We also supplied all the required Tyvec suits, face masks, goggles, over shoes, gloves and tacky mats for the project.
